Inquiry team constituted, asked to submit report within 7 days
Sopore, Sept 09: Taking strong cognizance, the authorities here in Sopore sealed the ICDS center in Neherpura locality in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.

After insects were found in rice that was being served to the kids at (ICDS) centers at Nehrpora locality.
An official from the food department told KNO that the center has been sealed; besides, an inquiry team has also been constituted to submit the report within a period of seven days.

Earlier, the concerned councillor, Irfan Ali while visiting the centres found the insects in the rice and has directed the authorities to probe the issue.
Mohsin Mushtaq, CDPO told KNO that the matter will be looked into and the grains will be changed.
He said that there are guidelines from the government not to give dry grains to children, instead it should be given to them at the concerned school, that’s why it has got affected. “The fresh supply will be given to the centres,” he added. KNO
