Pulwama, June 20: An encounter has started between militants and security forces in Chatpora area of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district.

Reports said that 55RR of Indian Army, CRPF and Police laumched a Cordon-and-Search operation after receiving information about the presence of militants in the area.
They said as the joint team of forces zeored towards the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon them triggering an encounter.

Two to three militants are believed to be trapped, sources said.
It is pertinent to mention that four militants including two foreigners have been killed in an ongoing encounters in Kulgam and Kupwara.
