Ganderbal, March 08 (ANH): A class 6 student from Ganderbal who has been painting and drawing sketches of leading personalities on his own is a source of inspiration for others.

As per the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), eleven-year-old War Muhammad Jasir has been drawing sketches with the strokes of his brush since he turned five. Since then, he has painted pictures of animals, mountains and humans as well as drawn sketches of leading personalities.
They include poet Allama Iqbal, Mahatma Gandhi, Lata Mangeshkar, Bhagat Singh, Maulana Tariq Jameel and former President of India APJ Abdul Kalam.

Jasir recalls the first time when he drew a picture of a lion and he was supported and encouraged by parents in his hobby.
Initially, when he started painting at school five years ago, he used to do it secretly as he was scolded at school. He said that schools lack facilities for encouraging painting and hopes all schools will have such facilities to boost the talent of students.
