New Delhi, Feb 15 (ANH): Punjabi actor Deep Sidhu, who had hit headlines during the farmers’ protest, died in a road accident near Delhi on Tuesday after the vehicle he was driving rammed into a truck trailer, India Today reported.
He was travelling from Delhi to Bhatinda.
The accident took place near Haryana’s Kharkhoda on the Western Peripheral Expressway, as per India Today.
The actor-turned-farm activist was in the news last year for his involvement in the Republic Day tractor rally in the national capital on January 26 which had turned violent, leaving many injured.
The Delhi Police had filed a 3,224-page chargesheet against Deep Sidhu in May last year in connection with the violence during the tractor rally at Red Fort on Republic Day this year.
