(Asian News Hub) – Two anti-militancy operations are underway in Kashmir’s Pulwama and Budgam districts after a Cop was shot dead near his residence in Bijbehara area of Anantnag on Saturday evening.
A gunfight broke out at Naira area of Pulwama this evening, when joint forces were carrying out a cordon and search operation against militants, believed to be hiding in a residential house. “We suspect two or more militants of Jaish-e-Mohammad are trapped in the area, reported UNI quoting officials.
The operation is underway,” a security official said. Hours later, another gunfight erupted at Charar-i-Sharief in central Kashmir’s Budgam district.
“Police and security forces are on the job,” a police tweet said.
