(Asian News Hub) – Despite 33/11kv receiving station established in the Wussan area of District Ganderbal, dozens villages like Prang, Chinnar, Wussan, Najwan, Barwalla, Chattergul are reeling under darkness, KNO reported.
Locals said there are frequent technical snags in existing low capacity transformer installed in the station.

“Though a high capacity transformer was approved and provided for this receiving station year’s back, the power development department has failed to make it functional and the same is lying in the premises of the station,” they said.l as per KNO.
Locals said that they have been moving from pillar to post since the last three years but no heed has been paid so far to mitigate their problem.

They said that technical staff of the power development department are giving reasons for not having an important part called CT-PT, devices used to measure currents and voltages.
They said that they have even registered their complaints in the public outreach program “Back to Village” but nothing has been done so far.
Locals appeal Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal and Chief Engineer PDD to intervene into the matter in order to bring end to their miseries.
