JK KVIB plays crucial role in generating employment: Dr Hina Shafi Bhat

9000 got self-employment under PMEGP,JKREGP in Pulwama District’

Srinagar, Jan 21: Vice Chairperson of J&K Khadi & Village Industries Board, Dr. Hina Shafi Bhat today said that the Board is playing a crucial role in generating employment in Jammu and Kashmir.

She said that J&K KVIB has facilitated self-employment to 9000 persons in District Pulwama under PMEGP and JKREGP schemes.

Dr Hina has said that J&K KVIB will be able to touch the figure of generating employment to 15000 persons of District Pulwama by March 2021.

She further added that the J&K KVIB is playing an important role in the up-gradation of the Rural Economy especially in far flung areas of all the Districts of J&K UT.

10 held for trying to vitiate peaceful atmosphere outside Jama Masjid after Friday prayers: Police

Srinagar police on Saturday said that they have arrested ten persons for trying to vitiate peaceful atmosphere outside Jama Masjid in Nowhatta after Friday prayers.

They said that they will be booked under relevant sections of law.

Srinagar police on X informed, “10 Hooligans arrested for trying to vitiate peaceful atmosphere outside Jamia Masjid Yesterday after friday prayers. They shall be booked under relevant section of law. Public is requested not to indulge in such acts failing which law will take its own course.”

Mason falls from rooftop of house in Bijbehera, dies

A mason died after he fell down from a rooftop of a house in Zirpora area of Bijbehara in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Saturday.

An official told that Nazir Ahmad Ganai son of Abdul Salam Ganai of Zirpora was doing some work on the roof of the house when he slipped and fell down.

Biker killed in Anantnag road accident

A biker has died in a road mishap in Ranipora area of South Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Saturday morning.

An official told that a motorcyclist, identified as Muzaffar Ahmad Kuchay, lost control of his bike and skidded off the road, resulting in his death.
