Youth kills father for Rs 10 lakh insurance money

In a shocking incident, in Madhya Pradesh’s Barwani district, a youth hatched a conspiracy and killed his father for an insurance claim of Rs 10 lakh, ANI reported.

The police arrested the accused son, Anil Pawar (27), a resident of Ambedkar Colony, Sendhwa along with three others involved in the murder conspiracy on Friday. The three other conspirators have been identified as Pintu, Golu and Karan.

Barwani Superintendent of Police (SP) Deepak Kumar Shukla said that Sendhwa police received information on November 10 that a 52-year-old man, Chhagan Pawar died in a road accident. After that, the police registered a case under section 304 A of the IPC and started an investigation into the matter.

When the police team check the CCTV footage and cyber reports, they grew suspicious and interrogated the people concerned then it came to light that Anil along with three others hatched a conspiracy to kill his father. Besides this, the father-son duo had a dispute regarding family issues and money, he added.

The police added section 302 of the IPC into the matter and arrested all four accused. Further proceedings into the matter were on, SP Shukla added. (ANI)

Man in jail for 7 years, the woman he was accused of killing found alive, living with husband and children

A minor woman in Aligarh was reported missing after she visited a Temple in 2015. Days after the incident, a dead body was found and a person named Vishnu was accused of killing the girl.

Vishnu has been in a jail in Aligarh since 2015 and according to reports, the girl he was accused of killing has found be alive recently.

The girl according to reports is married and was found to be living with her husband and two children. After Vishnu’s family raised the issue and demanded his release from jail the police re-ordered a probe. The girl has now been taken into custody.

On February 17 2015, a 17 year old girl’s father filed a police complaint in Aligarh stating that his daughter has been missing ever since she visited a local Temple. A FIR was lodged under Sections 363 and 366 of the Indian Penal Code. In March 2015 the police found a dead body of an unknown girl. The family of the girl identified the body saying that it was of their daughter. They also named Vishnu from their village, Dhanthauli and accused him of kidnapping her. They also alleged that she was last seen with him. Following this Vishnu was arrested and cases against him under Sections 302 and 201 of the IPC were filed.

Khalid Khan the sub-inspector investigated the case and a chargesheet was filed in December 2015. Vishnu was granted bail in 2017 after spending nearly two years in jail. Vishnu was however sent back to jail after the girl’s family requested the court to do so.

Meanwhile Vishnu’s mother tried to gather some evidence to prove her son’s innocence. After a lot of searching, she got to know that the missing girl is alive and is living in Agra. After confirming her identity, Vishnu’s mother sought help from some Hindu activists in Aligarh and then approached the SSP Kalanidhi Naithani. The police ordered immediate action and the girl has now been arrested from the Hathras gate area. Now the POSCO court has ordered her DNA test. Vishnu’s mother has now alleged that the girl’s family is seeking a compromise.

Man murders cousin over land dispute, his friends take selfie with severed head

Another case of gruesome murder has come to fore where a 20-year-old tribal man beheaded his 24-year-old cousin over a land dispute and the his friends took a selfie with the severed head in Jharkhand’s Khunti district in Murhu area, news agency PTI reported.

Six people, including the prime accused and his wife, were arrested on Sunday based on an FIR lodged by the deceased’s father Dasai Munda on December 2. In the FIR, the 55-year-old said his son Kanu Munda was alone at home on December 1 as others had gone to the paddy fields for work. On returning home in the evening, villagers told the complainant that his nephew Sagar Munda and his friends have abducted his son. After failed attempts to trace Kanu, his father lodged the FIR the next day.

A police team headed by Khunti Sub-divisional Police Officer Amit Kumar was formed to apprehend the accused.

Following the arrest of the accused, the torso was found in Kumang Gopla forest and the head 15 km away at Dulwa Tungri area, Murhu police station officer-in-charge Chudamani Tudu said.

The officer said that the accused persons had taken selfie with the severed head.

Five mobile phones, including that of the deceased, two blood-stained sharp weapons, an axe and an SUV were seized, Tudu said.

A long-standing feud between the families of the deceased and the accused over a piece of land is stated to be the reason behind the beheading, the officer added. (With PTI inputs)

Rohini Acharya donates kidney to her father Lalu Yada, transplant successful

RJD supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav’s kidney transplant was conducted successfully on Monday at Mount Elizabeth Hospital in Singapore, media reported.

This operation went on for 1 hour. His daughter Rohini Acharya has donated a kidney to Lalu. Rohini was operated on before Lalu and currently, both are in the ICU.

Before the operation, Rohini tweeted a photo with Lalu which she captioned, “Ready to rock and roll. This is enough for me, your well being is my life.”

The process of kidney transplant of the RJD supremo started on 3 December. The blood group of both Rohini and Lalu is AB-positive.
