Srinagar, May 12: A youth from Srinagar who was critically injured in a road accident at Dumail Crossing in the Narbal area on May 8 (Friday) succumbed to his injuries at Sher-i-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences on Monday.
The deceased has been identified as Muzammil Ahmad Dar, 23, son of Shabir Ahmad Dar and a resident of Zanikote, Srinagar.

Officials said Muzammil had sustained serious injuries, including severe head trauma and multiple leg injuries, in the accident and was initially shifted to JVC Hospital before being referred to SKIMS Soura for advanced treatment.
He succumbed to his injuries during treatment on Tuesday morning.
Another injured youth, identified as Mudasir Ahmad Sheikh of Zanikote, Srinagar, had also suffered severe head injuries in the same accident and is being treated.

Police have registered a case in this regard, and further investigations are underway.
