Srinagar, April 02 (ANH): Two wiremen, working in Airtel Fibre, were thrashed by local residents at Athwajan area of Srinagar on Saturday.

Official sources told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that two wireman identified as Shabir Ahmad of Kaka Mohalla Nowhatta and Waseem Ahmad Dar of Jogi Lankar Rainawari were thrashed by some local residents when they were laying cable for internet services.
They said that they were taken to a nearby facility for treatment and their condition is said to be stable.

Meanwhile, local police has taken cognizance of the incident and a case under section 341/323 has been registered in this regard and further investigation is going on.
