Srinagar, July 13: Jammu and Kashmir Police said to have arrested two persons for allegedly involved in eve teasing and molestation in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
In a media statement, a police spokesman said that Police Station Pulwama received a written complaint from a female (name withheld) regarding an incident of eve teasing and molestation.
He said, acting swiftly, a case under FIR No. 132/24 U/S 75(1) BNS was registered at Police Station Pulwama and two accused identified as Shahid Bilal Bhat, S/o Bilal Ahmad Bhat, R/o Pinglena, and Shayan Rasool, S/o Gh Rasool Reshi, R/o Dugam Kakapora were promptly arrested.

The investigation is ongoing to gather all necessary evidence and ensure justice for the victim, the spokesman said.
He said, Pulwama Police remains committed to providing a secure atmosphere to general public and take action against eve teasers and other Anti-social elements.
The general public is requested if any such case happens then they should immediately report it to the concerned police station or call the police helpline number 112, the spokesman added.
