Dubai, Nov 21: An Indian Air Force (IAF) Tejas fighter jet taking part in a demonstration at the Dubai Air Show crashed on Friday afternoon. The HAL-built aircraft went down around 2:10 pm local time while performing an aerial display in front of a large audience.
The IAF confirmed the incident and said more information is being gathered. In a brief statement, it said: “An IAF Tejas aircraft has crashed during the Dubai Air Show 2025. Further details are being ascertained and will be shared soon.”

Thick black smoke was seen rising from the crash site near the airport, causing panic among visitors, including families and children who were present for the show. It is still not known whether the pilot was able to eject before the crash.
