A youth was critically injured after shot by unidentified militants in Wanihama village of south Kashmir’s Anantnag district this evening.

An official told Asian News Hub (ANH) that a youth identified as Sahil Bashir Dar son of Bashir Ahmad Dar resident of Wanihama village of Anantnag district was critically injured after shot by unidentified militants this evening.

He said that after the incident he was shifted to GMC Anantnag for treatment. However, an official at the hospital told ANH that the condition of Sahil Bashir is critical, and said that the needfull is being done and is about to be referred to Srinagar for specialised treatment

Meanwhile Kashmir Zone Police on X informed, “Terrorists fired upon one person namely Sahil Bashir Dar son of Bashir Ah Dar resident of Wanihama in #Anantnag district. The injured person is being shifted to hospital for treatment. Area cordoned off. Further details shall follow.”
