Srinagar, Sept 11: Srinagar police said to have arrested a youth accused of raping minor girl in Lalbazar area of Srinagar.
They said that one accused namely Sajad Ali Sofi resident of Gulshanbagh, Lal bazar arrested for raping a minor girl of same locality (name withheld).
In this regards FIR no 53/2022 under sections 376 of IPC and sections 3/4 of POCSO Act stands registered at Lal Bazar PS, they said.
Srinagar Police in a tweet said, “One Accused namely Sajad Ali Sofi of Gulshanbagh, Lal bazar arrested for raping a minor girl of same locality (name withheld). In this regards FIR no 53/2022 under sections 376 of IPC and sections 3/4 of POCSO Act stands registered at Lal Bazar PS.”
