He said that the work at Polo-view is in the final stage and is expected to be completed in the next 5-10 days.

“The pace of work on other projects is also expedited and on M.A. Road stretch, we are expecting to start the macadamization process soon,” he said.

For River front, M.A. Road, Abdullah bridge stretch, the actual timeline was 2024, he said, adding that the timeline was squeezed and some of the projects that were prioritised will be completed in April only.

“The Ganta Ghar (Clock Tower) will be completed by 15th of May. The other work in its surroundings is also being expedited. The machine work has been done and now only the handwork is pending and that’s why it takes a lot of time,” he added.

He further said that the shopkeepers are giving immense support to the government. “The shopkeepers are facing difficult situation, but they have been quite cooperative. We assure them that we won’t leave any stone unturned in ensuring that the speed of the work is very fast and the quality of the work is also fast,” he said.
