Srinagar, Dec 1: The woman who attempted self-immolation at Pratap Park on Saturday has succumbed to her burn injuries at SMHS Hospital this morning, officials said.
The woman had set herself ablaze after pouring petrol on her body, triggering panic among visitors at the park. Locals acted swiftly and managed to douse the flames before police shifted her to SMHS Hospital for treatment.
Despite efforts by doctors, she could not survive the severe burn injuries. Her identity remains withheld, and the motive behind the incident is still unknown.

Police said an investigation is underway and further details are expected.
