A woman allegedly attempted to end her life by jumping into river Jhelum in Safakadal area of Srinagar on Tuesday.

Reports reaching Asian News Hub (ANH) said that a woman name (withheld) resident of Srinagar allegedly attempted to end her life by jumping into river Jhelum from Safakadal bridge this morning.
However, timely action by locals and police rescued the woman from jumping into river Jhelum.
Meanwhile, an official told Asian News Hub after proper counselling, the woman was handed over to her father.
