Kulgam, Aug 06: A woman among two people were killed and two others sustained injuries after a tree falls in the Kund area of South Kashmir’s Kulgam district on Wednesday.
Officials said that heavy rain, gusty winds, and lightning caused forest tree to fall on a nomadic tent in Kanzalpathri Dokh, Waltengo Nard, Kund, resulting in the on-spot death of a woman and a man, and leaving two others injured.
The deceased have been identified as Mohammad Shafi Bokad and a woman identified as Rehana.
The injured have been shifted to hospital for medical treatment.
