Aga Ruhullah made it clear that the National Conference has already taken a firm stand on its relationship with the Congress party. “We have burnt the bridge with Congress. If the situation was normal, we would not need Congress,” he said, indicating that the NC no longer sees Congress as a necessary ally in Kashmir under the current circumstances.

M P Ruhullah, said that a strong political force is needed in Parliament to take forward Jammu and Kashmir’s political struggle. “If we are true to the fight and true to our promise, we will need a big force in Parliament. That force is not the BJP it is the party that stands against BJP’s ideology,” he said.

Aga Ruhullah added that the National Conference knows where political partnerships are necessary and where they are not. “Where we do not need them, we have burnt the bridges. Where we need them, how can we expect anything from them,” he remarked.

He also accused National Conference for softening their approach toward the BJP. “For the past year, people have seen where we are heading. We are becoming soft with the BJP while burning bridges with those who could have been our allies in the future,” he added.(KNS)
