Jammu, May 22: Two terrorists were killed in an ongoing gunfight with security forces in the Kishtwar district of Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday morning.

The encounter began around 6:50 AM after a joint team comprising 2 Para SF, Army’s 11 Rashtriya Rifles, 7th Assam Rifles, and the Special Operations Group (SOG) Kishtwar launched a search operation in the forested area between Shari and Mandral Dhok in Singhpora Chatroo village.

As the forces zeroed in on the suspected location, the hiding militants opened fire, triggering a fierce gun battle.

An official stated that two terrorists have been killed so far. The operation is ongoing, and further details are awaited.
