Srinagar, April 26: In two separate tragic incidents, two persons lost their lives due to electrocution in south Kashmir on Saturday.
In Pulwama, a Power Development Department (PDD) employee, Manzoor Ahmad Wani, son of Mohammad Akbar, a resident of Chartpora Pulwama, succumbed to injuries at SMHS Hospital.
Wani was brought to the hospital after suffering severe electrocution on Friday, while on duty.

In another incident in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district, a youth died due to electrocution while repairing a water motor at Veshav Nallah in Hassanpora.
Muneeb Ahmad Ganie, son of Lassa Ganie of Hassanpora Tawela, came in contact with a live wire, resulting in his instant death.
Following the incidents, police have taken cognizance and initiated necessary proceedings in both cases.
