Srinagar, Jun 24: Srinagar Police have taken swift action after graffiti resembling the Israeli flag was found painted on the road outside the main entrance of Imambara Zadibal.
In a media statement, a police spokesman said that upon receiving information, a team from Police Station Zadibal reached the spot and ensured the immediate removal of the graffiti to maintain communal harmony and public order.
He said, during the preliminary investigation, police identified three local teenage girls as being involved in the act. All three are students and residents of the area. Due to their minor status, their names have not been disclosed.

Police summoned the parents of the girls and conducted a counselling session in their presence. The minors were sensitised about the seriousness of their actions and the potential consequences.
“Legal action has been initiated under the juvenile justice framework,” he said.
Srinagar Police reiterated their commitment to preserving peace, law, and communal harmony in the district, the spokesman added.
