Srinagar, April 29: Uttarakhand Police have arrested three individuals in connection with an assault on Kashmiri shawl vendors that occurred two days ago on the busy Mall Road in Mussoorie.
The accused have been identified as Suraj Singh, Pradeep Singh, and Abhishek Uniyal. All three were arrested and legal proceedings have been initiated.

In a post on X, Dehradun Police said:
“In relation to the misbehavior by three youths with a Kashmiri man selling goods on Mall Road, Mussoorie, Dehradun Police took immediate action on April 25, 2025, arresting all three accused and initiating legal proceedings against them.”
The accused have reportedly apologized for their actions and assured that they will not repeat such behavior in the future. However, police have confirmed that legal action is ongoing to ensure accountability.
The attack on the Kashmiri vendors had drawn sharp criticism on social media and from civil society groups, prompting prompt action from the police force.
