Srinagar, Sept 17: A 14-year-old girl died and five others were injured after a school vehicle met with an accident at Jogilanker area of Rainawari Srinagar on Wednesday.
Reports said the mishap took place when an Eco vehicle, driven by Mohd Ismail Paloo of Kalwal Mohalla Rainawari, hit a group of pedestrians at Jogilankar.
The injured were rushed to JLNM Hospital Rainawari, where a teenage girl identified as Madiha, daughter of Farooq Ahmad Bhat of Gurpora, succumbed to her injuries. Her body was later handed over to her family after completion of medico-legal formalities.

Police have registered a case under FIR No. 31/2025 U/s 281, 125(A) BNS at Police Station Rainawari and initiated further investigation.
The injured have been identified as Haleema, wife of Gh Mohd Saudagar, resident of Nowgam, and Amina, wife of Farooq Ahmad Sofi, resident of Noorbagh shifted to Bone & Joint Hospital.
Neelofar, wife of Fayaz Ahmad Baba, resident of Nehru Park and Bashir Ahmad Gagroo, son of Ab Rehman, resident of Illahibagh Soura shifted to SMHS Hospital.
Gulshana, wife of Gh Mohd Mir, resident of Rainawari shifted to SKIMS.
