A woman from Nowgam married to man from HMT Srinagar decided to mark her husband’s birthday in an exceptionally unique way. Hina Bashir, a Program Coordinator at IMT University Dubai, sought to surprise her husband, Shahid Yaqoob Khan, with an extraordinary gift.

After pondering over distinctive ideas, she settled on something truly out of this world – she purchased a plot of land on the Moon for around $30.

Speaking with Asian News Hub (ANH), Hina said that Shahid, a Mechanical Engineer and Professional Photographer working in Dubai, possesses an adventurous spirit. His profound curiosity about other planets and underwater exploration, inspired her choice. Believing that the lunar land would perfectly resonate with his interests.

Hina expressed her delight in selecting something that she believed would captivate her husband’s fascination with space and exploration.

Notably, Shahid Yaqoob became the first Kashmiri to own a piece of lunar land in 2022, joining just a select few individuals in Jammu and Kashmir who have ventured into this unique form of ownership.
