Srinagar Airport Ready for Flight Operations: Official

Srinagar, May 12: Srinagar International Airport is fully prepared to resume civil flight operations following a temporary closure affecting 32 airports across India. According to an official from Srinagar Airport (SXR), the facility is operational and ready to facilitate passenger flights, with final response from airline operators now awaited.

This development follows a press release issued by the Airports Authority of India (AAI) earlier today from New Delhi, which stated.

“Attention Flyers; reference notice issued for temporary closure of 32 Airports for civil Aircraft operations till 05:29 hrs of 15 May 2025. It is informed that these Airports are now available for civil Aircraft operations with immediate effect.”

The press release advised passengers to check the latest updates directly with their respective airlines and monitor official airline websites for flight schedules and possible delays.

32 Airports Set to Reopen After Indo-Pak Standoff

With the airport infrastructure now active, local travelers and tourists are urged to stay informed as airlines finalize their operational schedules.

Srinagar Airport, a critical gateway to Kashmir, is expected to see normal services resume shortly once confirmations are received from air carriers.
