Smart City CEO assesses progress of Projects, warns agencies lagging in schedule

Srinagar, Jan 04: The CEO SSCL and Commissioner SMC, Athar Aamir Khan today conducted a comprehensive tour of various parts of Srinagar city to oversee the progress of ongoing smart city projects.

CEO SSCL was accompanied by a delegation of officers of SSCL viz. Chief Engineer, GM Planning and Urban Development, Executive Engineers, AEE’s and senior officials from Smart City and SMC.

The team visited several project sites including Developments of Roads/Footpaths and Utility Shifting at Tengpora Bemina Bye Pass, Redevelopment of Old Habba Kadal Bridge along with development of Kiosks at Haba Kadal, Construction of Footbridges and Viewing Decks and beautification of Bund at Chunti Khul, Upgradation and Redevelopment of Nishat Sathu including Cycle Track/Walkway/and Decks for Angling.

Throughout the tour, CEO SSCL meticulously reviewed the status of the projects at these sites and provided immediate directives to accelerate the pace of work, emphasizing the critical importance of adhering to project timelines for their timely completion.

Additionally, strict warnings were issued to the agencies whose work was identified as lagging behind the schedule, underscoring the commitment to ensuring the swift and efficient execution of the smart city projects.
