Srinagar, Aug 10: The Jammu and Kashmir Food Safety Department has issued a strict warning to all restaurants, hotels, and other food business operators, directing them not to sell any frozen chicken, meat, or related products that could pose health risks to the public.
Officials said violators will face strict legal action, including prosecution in court, under the Food Safety and Standards Act. Selling misbranded, substandard, or unsafe food can attract penalties of up to ₹5 lakh, and in some cases ₹3 lakh, depending on the severity of the violation.
