Srinagar, Jun 06: Jammu and Kashmir is bracing for a fresh spell of heat as weather forecasts indicate no rain until June 12. With clear skies and rising temperatures, heatwave conditions are expected to intensify in the coming days.
According to the latest update from Kashmir Weather, temperatures in the Kashmir plains may soar up to 34–35°C, which is significantly above normal for the region. Meanwhile, Jammu plains are likely to witness even more extreme heat, with maximum temperatures expected to reach 45–46°C.
This intense heat is likely to persist through the Eid period, while a slight drop in temperatures is possible after June 13, no strong Western Disturbance or monsoon activity is expected immediately.

Authorities have urged people to stay hydrated, avoid direct exposure to the sun during peak hours, and take necessary precautions, especially the elderly, children, and those with health conditions.
