Srinagar, Oct 16: Jammu and Kashmir Police have arrested a private school staffer for allegedly sexually assaulting and molesting a minor student in a private school in central Kashmir’s Budgam district.
Quoting reports news agency KDC said that the father of the victim lodged a complaint alleging that his minor ward was allegedly assaulted and molested by staffer of the school falling under the jurisdiction of Police Station Beerwah.
A police officer confirmed that following the complaint, Beerwah Police registered an FIR No. 147/2025 under Sections 5 and 6 of the POCSO Act.

“The accused has been taken into custody, and necessary medico-legal formalities are being carried out,” the officer added.
