Srinagar, Feb 03: A Power Development Department (PDD) employee died after sustaining critical injuries from a fall off an electric pole in the Nowshera area of Srinagar.
Reports said that Bashir Ahmad Sofi, a resident of Gadoora, Ganderbal, sustained critical injuries after falling from an electric pole during the installation process in Nowshera Srinagar on January 26, 2025.
They said he was immediately rushed to SKIMS Soura for treatment. Despite medical intervention, he succumbed to his injuries this morning.
Missing TA Soldier Traced, Probe On
The incident has again raised concerns about the safety measures in place for PDD employees working on power infrastructure.
