Srinagar, April 24: In the wake of the deadly terror attack in Pahalgam, former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti has spoken to Union Home Minister Amit Shah, expressing her deep condolences to the families of the victims and urging the government to take immediate steps to ensure the safety of Kashmiri students and traders across the country.
Taking to social media platform X, Mehbooba wrote, “Spoke with Home Minister @AmitShah ji to extend my deepest condolences & also express solidarity with bereaved families of the Pahalgam terror attack. We stand with the nation in this hour of mourning.”

“I also requested him to intervene in the wake of certain elements openly threatening Kashmiri students & traders across various states. Urged him to intervene without delay to ensure their safety & protection wherever such incidents are being reported,” she added.
The Pahalgam terror attack, which resulted in multiple casualties, has triggered widespread condemnation and calls for unity. Leaders across party lines have expressed grief and demanded strong action against the perpetrators.
