Srinagar, May 15: Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Thursday said that Operation Sindoor is India’s biggest action against terrorism so far. He added that the terrorists had killed innocent people based on their religion (dharam), and India took action based on their deeds (karam).
Rajnath Singh arrived in Srinagar and went straight to the Badami Bagh Cantonment, where he addressed soldiers. This is his first visit to Jammu and Kashmir after India launched Operation Sindoor to destroy terror camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir (PoK), in response to the deadly April 22 attack in Pahalgam.
Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, the Army Chief, and other senior officers were also present during his visit.
Rajnath Singh told the soldiers that he came to Srinagar as a messenger to bring the love and respect of the entire country for their bravery and commitment in successfully carrying out Operation Sindoor.

“I believe Operation Sindoor is India’s strongest response to terrorism till date. Terrorists killed innocent people because of their religion, but we destroyed them for their bad actions,” he said.
He also said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has changed India’s way of dealing with terrorism. “If Pakistan breaks the ceasefire or supports terrorism, it will face a strong reply. No wrong action will be tolerated,” Singh said.
He made it clear that talks and terrorism cannot happen together, and any future talks with Pakistan will only be about Pakistan-Occupied Jammu and Kashmir and the issue of terrorism.
Rajnath Singh also raised concerns about the safety of nuclear weapons in Pakistan. He said the international community should take this issue seriously.
