Srinagar, April 14: One person was killed while at least nine others were injured in a road accident in the Banihal area of Ramban district on Monday.
An official told that a Tata Mobile carrying eleven passengers from two Bakarwal families of Tehsil Teryath, Rajouri, was on its way to Srinagar when it turned turtle and collided with a bridge near the railway crossing at Banihal.
He said that in the incident, one passenger died while nine others sustained injuries. A baby girl, however, escaped unhurt.

After receiving first aid at SDH Banihal, all the injured were referred to GMC Anantnag for further treatment, the official added.
Meanwhile, police have taken cognizance of the incident and initiated an investigation. (JKNS)
