Srinagar, Jan 07: The tanker association union swiftly stated that the drivers had not started a strike after reports surfaced on Sunday evening detailing an unusual increase at fuel stations in Srinagar.

S. Harasis Singh, spokesperson for the oil tankers association, conveyed through a video statement, emphasizing that circulating strike messages on WhatsApp are baseless and no such call has been made by their association or any transport unions and no such call has been made by their association or any transport unions.

A senior government official expressed concern over the unnecessary panic among the public and said “Gone are the days when people were facing problems.”

“We will not let people suffer,” he said reiterating the commitment to addressing concerns and maintaining the steady provision of essential services.
