Newly married bride, her sister killed in Kishtwar road accident

Doda, Sep 30: A newly married bride and his sister were killed while her husband and two others were injured in a road accident at Pathshalla area of Bunjwah in Kishtwar district on Monday.

Giving details, an official told that a vehicle on its way from Aul area of Udyanpur in district Doda to Nali area of Bunjwah in district Kishtwar met with an accident near Pathshalla and fell into a deep gorge.

“Two ladies, identified as Mehrun Nisa (25), wife of Tariq Hussain and Rehana Begum, wife of Ashiq Hussain died on the spot whereas Tariq Hussain, son of Ghulam Mohiddin, Brera Bano, daughter of Gulshan Ahmed Mir and Muzaffar Hussain, son Muhammad Amin were injured in the accident,” the official said.

All the three injured and two dead bodies were firstly taken to sub district hospital Thathri and from where the injured were shifted to GMC Doda.

The condition of injured persons is said to be stable.

Tariq Hussain and Mehrun Nisa had tied the knot on Saturday and today they were travelling to the bride’s home for a ritual when the vehicle met with the accident.

The groom was resident of Aul whereas the bride was from Nali. KNO
