Baramulla police on Tuesday said to have arrested rape accused in Baramulla town within hours after a complaint was filed.

In a statement to Asian News Hub (ANH), a police spokesman said that Baramulla received a written complaint from one minor girl (name withheld) stating therein that she was abducted one person namely Mohammad Umar Parray (Venture Driver) S/O Mohammad Amin Parray R/O Parray Mohalla Sangri and raped her at secluded place in Sangri.
He said, on this written complaint FIR was registered in Police Station Baramulla under relevant sections of law.
Police Station Baramulla utilizing all technical and human sources and with strenuous efforts traced the accused and arrested him in the instant case, he said
Further medico legal formalities conducted of the girl and further investigation of the case is in progress, the spokesman added.
