A three year old boy drowned to death in Karnah area of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district on Thursday.

An official said a minor boy namely Mehran Ahmad (03) son of Syed Fayaz Gillani resident of Chamkote drowned in a canal at Chamkote Karnah while he was playing.
He said that the boy died on the spot and after legal formalities his dead body was handed over to legal heirs for last rites.
Meanwhile, police have taken cognizance and started investigation. KS
