Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Mirwaiz Umar Farooq shared his heartfelt condolences, recalling a recent visit to the ailing Maulana. “A few weeks ago, I visited him to inquire about his ill health. Despite his frailty, he recognised me and spoke with warmth and clarity,” he wrote.
Mirwaiz described Maulana Mubarki’s death as not only a personal loss but also a collective misfortune for Kashmir. “May Allah grant him the highest standards in Jannat-ul-Firdous,” he prayed.
Maulana Mubarki was widely respected for his contributions to Islamic scholarship and his decades-long commitment to community preaching and guidance. His passing has evoked a wave of grief across the Valley.
