A man drowned to death in river Jhelum in Sumbal area of North Kashmir Bandipora district on Thursday.

A man identified as Bashir Ahmad Tadoo (28) son of Sirajudin Tadoo resident of Bazipora Ajas drowned in river Jhelum.
He said that soon after the incident rescue operation was started, however, they failed to rescue him resulting into death of said person.
He said that dead body has been retrieved by locals and later body was shifted to CHC sumbal for medical legal formalities.
Meanwhile, further proceedings in this regard have been taken up. KS
