Handwara, April 16: A man died after being struck by lightning during a thunderstorm in the Upper Magam area of Handwara on Wednesday, officials said.
The deceased has been identified as 50-year-old Ab Rasheed Lone, son of Mohd Akbar and a resident of Magam Handwara.
According to officials, Lone was in an orchard when the lightning struck, leading to his on-spot death.
