Man arrested for harrasing college girl online in Srinagar

Srinagar police on Wednesday said to have arrested a man accused of harassing college girl online.

They said that accused identified as Tabish Rashid Ganie son of Abdul Rashid Ganie resident of Shamswari khankha moula Srinagar was arrested for continuous online harassment of a college girl (name withheld).

Case under FIR no 64/2023 under sections 354,354A,354D, 506, 509 of IPC registered in Nishat Police Station.

Srinagar police in a tweet said, “One accused namely Tabish Rashid Ganie S/o Ab Rashid Ganie R/o Shamswari khankha moula Srinagar arrested for continuous online harassment of a college girl (name withheld). FIR no 64/2023 under sections 354,354A,354D, 506, 509 of IPC registered in Nishat PS.”
