Srinagar, Dec 24: Pulwama Police have arrested a man accused of killing his mother-in-law during an argument at Gudoora village of Pulwama on Monday evening.
In a media statement, a police spokesman said that the incident occurred at around 6:00 PM on Monday when Khurshi Begum, wife of Ab Rehman Dar and resident of Looswani, was brought dead to District Hospital Pulwama.
He said Khurshi Begum was at her daughter Rafeeqa Bano’s home in Gudoora when a heated argument broke out between Rafeeqa and her husband, Mohammad Aslam Mir. During the altercation, the accused allegedly pushed Khurshi Begum, causing her to collapse.

Following a written complaint by Rafeeqa Bano, an FIR (No. 257/2024) has been registered under relevant sections of the law at Pulwama Police Station, and an investigation is underway, the spokesman added.
