Sopore, July 22: A Power Development Department (PDD) lineman sustained serious injuries after falling from a low-tension (LT) electric pole at Krankshivan Chowk in Sopore on Tuesday morning.
The injured lineman has been identified as PDL (Permanent Daily Labourer), Jahangir Ahmad Bhat, a resident of Pattan. He was initially taken to a nearby hospital and later referred to SKIMS Soura for specialized treatment.
Sources said the incident occurred while he was performing maintenance work on the power line.
