A girl from north Kashmir’s Kupwara district has allegedly committed suicide by jumping into river Jehlum in Sonwar area of Srinagar.

Reports reaching Asian News Hub (ANH) said that a girl from Kupwara district jumped into river Jehlum near footbridge in Sonwar area this evening.
They said that following the incident, locals and river police Srinagar rushed to the spot to launch rescue operation.
Searches were going on when the reports last came in.
