Srinagar, Aug 23: The Jammu and Kashmir State Disaster Management Authority (JKSDMA) on Saturday issued a weather alert, warning of heavy rainfall over several districts of Jammu and Kashmir in the next 48 hours.
According to the advisory, Anantnag, Kulgam, Doda, Jammu, Kathua, Kishtwar, Poonch, Rajouri, Ramban, Reasi, Samba, and Udhampur are likely to witness heavy rain during the forecast period.
The authority has cautioned about the possibility of cloudbursts, flash floods, and landslides, particularly in the Jammu division. Residents have been urged to remain alert and take necessary precautions.
The advisory is valid from August 23, 12:03 PM, till August 25, 2:00 PM. For emergencies, people have been asked to dial 112.
