JKNC Fires Social Media Advisor Over Misinformation on SPOs’ Honorarium

Srinagar, Jan 30: The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference (JKNC) has taken swift action after a misleading post regarding the honorarium of Special Police Officers (SPOs) was circulated from various party-affiliated handles.

In an official statement on X, the party clarified that the post was shared without verification and did not reflect the current status of SPOs’ honorarium. While JKNC has been actively advocating for an increase in wages, no such change has been implemented yet.

Following the incident, the individual responsible for the misinformation has been relieved of his duties as Social Media Advisor to the party’s Vice President. The party reaffirmed its commitment to the welfare of SPOs and pledged to continue efforts for their betterment.
