Earlier, Shopian witnessed nature’s fury as a powerful hailstorm ravaged several villages, destroying blossoming apple orchards and leaving farmers devastated. The storm, which struck without warning, shredded tender apple blooms at a critical stage, raising serious concerns about crop loss and its impact on the economy.

Farmers have been urged to take precautions to protect crops, especially in areas vulnerable to hail.
