Srinagar, Sept 22: Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Monday met an Indo-Australian delegation led by Sajid Saiyed, Chairperson and Founder of Bharat CSR Network and the Circular Economy Alliance Australia (CEAA). The meeting focused on Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) projects to support development in Jammu and Kashmir.
The delegation suggested different initiatives such as creating Smart Villages, setting up Artificial Intelligence (AI) labs, turning waste into useful resources, water cleaning projects, community centres, and help for families affected by floods.
The Chief Minister welcomed the proposals and said the government gives priority to areas like sports, skill development, and new projects. He also asked the delegation to bring detailed plans for building libraries, improving schools, and adding sustainability programmes at the school level.

Omar Abdullah assured full support from the government, saying such partnerships are important for the long-term progress of Jammu and Kashmir.
