Sopore, July 19: A tragic incident occurred in Sopore on Saturday after a girl allegedly jumped into the River Jhelum in the Sopore area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
Reports said that an 18-year-old girl (name withheld) jumped into the Jhelum near Noorbagh Paray Mohalla.
Following the incident, a search operation was launched, and her body was later recovered from the river.

Police have taken cognizance of the incident, and further investigation is underway.
